Megan McDonald has a BSc in nursing from the University of Alberta and an associate’s degree in science from Thompson Rivers University. She began her career as a labour and delivery nurse at the Grey Nuns Community Hospital and transitioned into leadership as the interim unit manager for pediatric oncology and hematology at the Stollery Children’s Hospital. Prior to returning to Covenant Health, she led a quality improvement project for pediatric medicine. Megan’s passion for lifelong learning is evident in her current enrolment in the MBA program at the University of Fredericton. Her passion for pediatrics stems from her two small children — Samuel, 6, and Emma, 4.
