Kayla graduated from the University of Alberta with a bachelor of arts in recreation, sport and tourism. She started as a casual worker at the Glenrose Hospital and has worked for other organizations including VON and Christenson Communities. She started her dream job in 2012 at the Misericordia Hospital, working mostly with the geriatric population. The best part of her job is meeting so many different people with various backgrounds and life stories. Reminiscing is one of her favourite activities to do with patients because it gives her a better look into their lives and helps her build a relationship with them while they are on the unit.
