While growing up in India, Joyce developed a desire to enter a helping profession to make a difference in the lives of those who were marginalized. She decided to pursue social work as her profession. After moving to Canada, she was introduced to long-term care and hospice, and was drawn to work with those who are dependent on others for daily care within these settings. She considers it an honour to work with them.
