Misericordia Community Hospital
Deborah Kirkpatrick, BTh, BA, MDiv, has been a chaplain for almost 25 years. She received her CASC certification in 1994 and her ordination with Mennonite Church Canada in 2002. Since 2010, Deborah has fallen under the spell of the expressive arts as a means of inquiry, spiritual discernment and healing. This took her on a six-month contemplative sabbatical that began with silence in the Sonoran Desert of Arizona. In 2014 she received her level two certification as a consultant/educator from the Prairie Institute of the Expressive Arts in Therapy. She is a Veriditas trained labyrinth facilitator and completed the integrative drum circle facilitation training in the fall of 2016. Deborah describes expressive, arts-based spiritual care as her "call within the call" and is excited to follow this path.
