Carol has been a registered dietitian for 29 years. She graduated from the University of Alberta with a bachelor of science in foods and nutrition in 1991 and completed her administrative internship at the Misericordia Hospital in 1992. Carol has certification through HealthCare Can as a long-term care administrator and has completed executive education through the University of Alberta's School of Business. She has practiced clinical nutrition in rural and long-term care settings, provided community nutrition support through the Canada Prenatal Nutrition program, and has worked as a food service administrator. Carol also managed a community pharmacy for 15 years, giving her a broad perspective of the health care system in community, acute and continuing care environments in both urban and rural settings. She has three beautiful children and loves to downhill ski every chance she gets.
